So apparently 5200 yards is just short of 3 miles. Grr! Had I known, or had I done the appropriate math in the pool to figure it out, I could have swam another 100 yds to make it. I did get in free, for the week actually, at the Y. Usually people in this area aren't that nice, so I was happy. It was also weird because the director of the Y is the mother of one of the kids I went to high school with, and I guess her daughter was in my sister's grade, and she thought I was my sister. We don't really look alike either.
I ran yesterday and today after not having run since last Monday when I was in Folsom. Somehow I ended up running over 11 miles yesterday and it felt GOOD. I actually think it is the cement sidewalks in Champaign that partly cause the extra achiness since cement is harder than asphalt, and there are no sidewalks here so I just run on the road. Run today was good also, though I can feel my illotial band now. Ankles and shins are okay. And I think it is arthritis in my knee, not actual pain. Either way it sucks, but knowing it is arthritis makes me feel a little better.
On a side note, my abs still hurt from the like 3 exercises I did yesterday. And now my upper back is sore from swimming. I'm getting old!!!!!!!!

Just wait until you are MY age. The aches and pains come and go but I mostly ignore them until I cannot stand it--then I go to the DOCTOR! You might try it--going to the doctor, that is! Your knee might not be well from the fall last summer???
