Jumping Bean

Right now I am not sure if I am more excited about the race or just about all the food and drink I will finally be able to consume after the race. I know it's bad to think of food as the reward, but after spending the past 2+ months gluten-free and mainly grain-free (aside from the day after IM Canada), I miss cake and cookies and bread! The ginormous 3-layer slices of carrot cake from Safeway are the best.

After the race you should absolutely go for it food wise. Don't think of it as a reward but as part of your "recovery" plan.
