Time comparisons, then and now:
Overall: 1:23:53 / 1:13:15
Swim: 20:11 (2:31/100m avg) / 12:15 (1:32/100m avg)
T1: 2:53 / 2:37
Bike: 35:27 / 34:11 (19.7mph)
T2: 1:17 / 1:34
Run: 24:05 (7:46/mile) / 22:35 (7:17/mile)
I think some of the times reflect how meh this race was this year. The 10 minute time difference can be mainly attributed to my swim (and sweet Roka swim skin), but other than that the bike was nothing great and the run was definitely not my best effort. Having barely run in the past 8 weeks since IMTX definitely took a toll on my running fitness. Hoping to remedy that starting next week when I go to visit Jocelyn and she has a few good workouts planned for us!
But I finished and got to celebrate one year with my other half. We went on our first date the evening after he had done the race as an individual last year. When we first started dating we had talked about doing it this year, and here we are. If you followed my blog back in my California days, you'll know I was a whiny mess who never succeeded at a long-term relationship (or any relationship, period). So, very happy with where we** are right now.

**Also, I can still prove my theory correct such that women engineers will end up partnering with some science-y/logical - whether that be engineering, computer science, architecture, etc.
