Slowing Time

It turned out really well and I was able to cut the layers mostly evenly.

Time is moving WAY TOO FAST. There is too much to do and too little time! Lots of swimming, biking, running, and cross-country skiing and some yoga and strength training and baking. And then a lot of logistic figuring out and packing. If only I was home a couple weeks longer... and I would be willing to put up with the weather! I'm not even minding the indoor trainer rides since I get to watch lots of tv. I think the reason (part of it anyways) I keep complaining is that I never felt I really had any time to breathe. There has been barely any downtime. Got home a few days before Christmas and once that holiday was over it's been go-go-go. Makes me wish I traditionally graduated in spring so that I could have gotten a summer break. As Heather says, need some time to stare at the ceiling and think about nothing. Instead, I am almost more stressed out now than I was during the semester.

Yum! The cake looks great! I would love a piece right now as I sit and stare at the picture in this house where sugar is banned because my sister-in-law is fighting diabetes. I went to dinner with friends from Austin this evening and then to dinner. I shamed myself by grabbing a handful of mints as we left the upscale restaurant! I hid them in my suitcase for midnight raids.
