And now I am dead. I think that totals 18000m swam for the week though. And over 40 miles run. The swimming part is first ever and the running thing is first since like Austin marathon training. I feel good though, but I still don't know how Buffalo Springs will turn out. Training for long course helps with short course racing, but I'm still not very sure of my long course racing. In my n=1 experiment so far (Great Illini Half last September) it seems to turn into a slogfest during the bike as I get passed by EVERYONE. However, I am now the proud owner of Flashpoint wheels. Deep dish, more aerodynamic wheels - FP60 for the front and FP80 for the rear - which will hopefully take a few seconds off my time. It was interesting trying to get them on... resulting in me riding this morning with only the front wheel on and then going back to the tri store for them to put the wheels on for me. Tomorrow will come the real test when I attempt to take the rear wheel off so that I can put my training wheel back on for the bike trainer.

Whew! I am tired just reading about all that training! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you at Buffalo Springs. The altitude is a bit higher there--in case that figures into factors.
