Never Enough Time

So again, there is lots to say and not enough time to say it. Still need to recap CapTex so I can remember what went right and what went wrong and what not to do and what to do. But it's still relatively fresh in my mind so that can wait. I did the Real Ale Ride out in Blanco, TX, yesterday. No one told me about all those hills! But then again it is Hill Country after all. It was a hot day and a hilly ride, but I felt strong and had a good ride. The first 15 miles were fast, the next 15 miles were slower including having my chain fall off while going up a hill. The next 10 miles were the worst - people were all spread out and it was lonely. The last 26 miles were better as I found some people to talk to. They do triathlons and were a good source of some information. And I got some compliments about being a strong rider! So that made me happy. Although I don't feel I am that strong, a showdown against a coworker of mine will be more of a true test.

Today I did a short ride with a coworker/friend at 7am. Painful ride, but some good conversation. And then I did a 12-13 mile run to prepare for Buffalo Springs. Run felt good enough considering it was definitely warming up.

Week of 05/26 - 06/01:
Mon - ~2200m lake swim at Hippie Hollow with swim group, 54 mi bike
Tues - 2500m swim, 5.8 mi run at lunch, 45 min bike trainer
Weds - 1 hr nifty fifty strength, 8 mi run
Thurs - 3000m swim, 35 min bike trainer/6 mi run
Fri - 3000m swim, 5 mi run lunch
Sat - 65 mi Real Ale Ride, 2200m swim
Sun - 28 mi bike, 12-13 mi run, 3200m swim

I can't believe it's already Sunday night again. Where did the weekend go??? I was good though, up at 5:45 on Saturday and 6:05 today. Danskin triathlon next Sunday at Decker Lake and my mother is coming next weekend. Dun dun da dun...

Missed seeing you this morning. Sounds like your schedule keeps you too busy to be creative. But the time will come when you will want to return to your crafty, artistic side.
